Link is a Massachusetts native, who holds a Master of Environmental Management Degree from Duke University. In a former life, he was an eighth-grade earth science teacher in Durham, NC. He has been with Bay State Forestry Service since 1981. Besides practicing forestry and silviculture on client properties, Link spends a great deal of time in invasive-exotic plant control (see Project section of this website). He is a Massachusetts licensed pesticide applicator.  Link is chair of the MA Forester Licensing Board, which oversees licensing of professional foresters in the state. He is a founding member and vice-president of the Hilltown Land Trust, Inc., a land conservation trust which serves a 13-town area in the western Massachusetts hilltowns.

Link is married, has three children and resides in Williamsburg, MA. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, growing apples and cutting firewood on the family’s 49 acre woodlot.
