Chris is a Forest Technician and a Natural Resource Conservation Service Technical Service Provider (NRCS TSP). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of New Hampshire. Chris is a Keene native who plans on remaining in his hometown. He has been a Forest Technician with Bay State Forestry Service since 2018. Prior to that he worked for a local timber harvesting outfit as their skidder operator. In that position he gained knowledge of proper and safe logging practices, an understanding of how to minimize the impact of equipment throughout the forest, as well as marketing strategies for selling timber to mills across New England. In his current position, Chris marks, prepares, and oversees woodlots from start to finish for timber sales, as well as prepares forest management plans for landowners. Chris’ professional interests include woodlot management, conducting forest inventories for management plans and reducing the spread of exotic/invasive plant species.
At home Chris enjoys fishing, bike riding and kayaking as well as many other outdoor related sporting activities.
